Abstract:
polyferric sulfate is an efficient inorganic polymer flocculant, which is widely used in the field of water treatment. In this paper, the raw materials, methods and applications of polyferric sulfate are reviewed, and some reasonable suggestions on the industrial production of polyferric sulfate in China are put forward.

Abstract:
The flocculation morphology and performance of polyferric sulfate flocculant were studied by UV-Vis spectroscopy. The research contents include: the absorption spectra of polymeric ferric sulfate flocculant solutions with different pH values, the microscopic morphology of polymeric ferric sulfate flocculant corresponding to the absorption peak in the absorption spectra, the reaction mechanism, and the comparison of flocculation turbidity and color removal effects. It is found that when the pH value is between 1.0~2.5, the absorption values of all peaks increase with the increase of pH in the range of 200~1 100 nm, with the increase of pH, the absorption value of the peak does not continue to increase, but the absorption value of some absorption bands decreases, even decreases obviously. When the pH value is 2.0, the flocculation effect is the best; when the pH value is between 1.5~2.0 and 2.0~2.3, the flocculation effect is also good. In the range of 200~400 nm, the spectral curves of polyferric sulfate flocculants with different pH values have a certain corresponding relationship with the flocculation effect. The research results have potential application prospects for the analysis and identification of the dominant flocculation morphology of the Poly ferric flocculant, which is beneficial to provide some simple methods for the analysis and identification of the morphology of the Poly ferric polymer flocculant.
